Happy New Year You!

Welcome to 2012! Hope you had a nice christmas period, ours has all gone by in a bit of a blur. We can’t wait to get back into the swing of things now that we’re all rested up and ready for another year of promoting, DJing and partying. This year we’re aiming to make things bigger and better and we hope that you can achieve some amazing new things in your lives too.
Of course there is the small matter of the end of the world which is supposed to happen at some point (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2012_phenomenon), but that’s not going to stop us having a good time until the end! We’re holding a bunch of End Of The World parties in January, just in case it happens really soon. Come and party like it’s the last hours of your life!
Here’s to you and us and the excitement that a new year brings! Cheers!
Oh, and if you can make sense of this -> http://www.lifexpert.com/special/is_21_december_2012_end_of_the_world.html we’ll give you a prize. Drop your opinions in the comments box!
Tearout Tuesday: DJ Nut Nut – Special Dedication (Sigma Remix)
So it has been decided just this evening that Tuesdays on the Fat Poppadaddys blog are now Tearout Tuesdays where our DJs will bring you a tune that you may or may not know that will quite literally tear up a dance. To kick things off, Ive chosen this cracking remix of a Jungle classic. Special Dedication was a massive tune back in the day (the original came out in 1994) and this remix retains the jungle stylings of the original with just a little added oomph… and a nice bassline update. This tune, for me, is the very definition of a tearout.
Fat Poppadaddys goes to London
We are all getting very excited here at Fat Pops HQ about this week’s huge launch night of our Fat Poppadaddys night at the newly refurbished club One in Leicester Square, London. So far the night is looking set to be one of our busiest ever, and the buzz in the student world in London is that a funky new club night is coming to town.
Our Fat Poppadaddys nights are so far detached from the commercialised clubbing chaos that you might find in less discerning establishments. For us, a good night is all about creating a fun, friendly party atmosphere and dancing to the tried and tested tunes that we all know and love to sing a long to. Occasionally we might slip a sneaky set of new dance music in to surprise everyone, but all of our music is quality tested by the gorilla crew for danceability and run through the cool-o-meter machine before it reaches the dance floor!
